Google Adsense is an excellent way of making your traffic pay. With Google’s help, you can design effective, relevant ads to place on your site. Depending on the look of your site and the needs of your visitors, your ads can be image rich, text only or a combination of the two. Using Google’s brain, the ads on your site are targeted to your visitors’ current searches. This means that the chances of a click are increased.

Place your adsense ads correctly

Strategic placement of Google Ads is essential, as there are click patterns on pretty much any page so taking a little time to set your page up well and to think about how your visitors will navigate your site, can make a large difference to your ad revenue. You can quite easily go from 0 to 5 clicks per day just by making sure your ad is in a good place.

Different merchants offer different ads at different times which usually supplies you with good varied content, and you can block out ads that are in direct competition with any products you are selling.

Get a Google Account

Google adsense is accessible through your Google Account, and the income is paid through your Google Account. Do not abuse the system – Google knows what you are doing and will retain payments from naughty clicks!

Joining Affiliate Networks and displaying Ads on your site is just one of the ways to generate an income from your website.
The process is fairly straightforward. You just register for the network, then begin to select merchants that fit what you would like to advertise.
Once you have chosen your merchant, you apply to join them and wait for approval.
Once approved, you are able to select adverts from the merchant and display these on your site.

Adverts can be Text Links, Banners of all shapes and sizes, Widgets and even Product Feeds.
When one of your visitors clicks on an advert and proceeds to buy something from the parent merchant, you earn a commission.
Commission varies from 1 -12% or thereabouts, and can be a handy income stream.

Not only are they very good at communicating latest offers and discounts, but there are thousands of categories, and millions of products to choose from. The product feeds are easy to customise and there is a large range of banners, including many animated and graphic-rich options. For most of us, Affiliate Window is the best.
